OMS Bureau Service
Primarius’ OMS Bureau Service is the second stage of our Inventory Optimisation solution. The Bureau Service is a detailed, methodical and comprehensive management of inventory via sophisticated demand planning and supply planning and distribution software toolsets.
Central to our OMS Bureau Service is that data on sales, purchase orders and inventory holdings for each product, by location, is uploaded from our customer’s systems into Primarius’ server via internet-based data transfer. Primarius’ inventory experts employ sophisticated software toolsets to analyse client’s data to produce demand plans (forecasts) and supply plans (orders requiring release) for every product.
Improvements to overall stock holdings can be modelled by the ‘what-if’ facility built into the software. Safety stock levels, forecasts, leadtimes and minimum order quantities can all be altered and the result viewed to develop an optimised plan. The closing stock positions for each week of the forecast can be reviewed to determine if stock reaches dangerously low levels or, alternatively, an overstocked position, indicating an amended model is required.
These toolsets pinpoint immediate problems with existing inventory - potential product out-of-stocks as well as potential product over-stocks - and produce reports for immediate action.
Order reports detailing what product must be ordered, and by when, are produced to enable the business to communicate quickly and concisely with suppliers.
Primarius’ inventory experts will review these results on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis, as required, with your team. Each time they will mentor your personnel in management techniques and recommend what actions need to be taken to improve the inventory position. In this way, skills and training are transferred to our clients staff who , over time, become the experts.
